A New Partnership That Strengthens Our Mission: Collins Flags & Guardians of Old Glory
At Guardians of Old Glory, our mission is simple but deeply meaningful:
to replace worn, faded, and weathered American flags by putting new, American-made flags into the hands of youth organizations who proudly install them in their communities.
This month, that mission took a huge step forward.
A Visit to Marion, Indiana That Changed Everything
Founder Jay Gal recently traveled to Marion, Indiana to visit Collins Flags, one of the most respected American flag manufacturers in the country. What began as an introductory meeting quickly became the beginning of something special.
Upon arriving, Jay was welcomed by Shelly Brown, whose professionalism, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm made an immediate impression. She took the time to give Jay a full tour of the Collins Flags facility, a place where American craftsmanship and pride are on full display.
Shelly then introduced Jay to Martin Bragg, and that meeting proved to be a turning point. Jay shared the story and mission of Guardians of Old Glory: a newly founded nonprofit dedicated to ensuring every American flag flying in our neighborhoods is treated with dignity and respect. He explained how Scouts and youth groups across the country are ready to help replace flags that need retirement—but need the resources to do it.
Martin and Shelly understood the mission instantly.
And They wanted to be part of it.
Walking Away Inspiredand Taking Action
Jay left that meeting energized and hopeful, knowing he had found a partner who believes in what Guardians of Old Glory is building. Collins Flags wasn’t just willing to work with the organization, they were excited to help amplify its impact.
And what better way to begin this partnership than by taking action?
Shortly after the meeting, Jay placed our very first bulk order:
over 100 high-quality, American-made flags that will soon be delivered to youth organizations across the country.
These flags represent more than inventory, they’re the start of a nationwide movement.
Why This Partnership Matters
Working with Collins Flags ensures that every flag we place into a community is:
- Proudly made in the USA
- Crafted with exceptional quality
- Built to fly with dignity and honor
Most importantly, it aligns us with a company that shares our values: respect for the flag, pride in American craftsmanship, and a commitment to strengthening communities.
This is more than a business collaboration, it’s a patriotic partnership.
Just the Beginning
Guardians of Old Glory is still young, but momentum is building fast. Early supporters, dedicated volunteers, and now partners like Collins Flags are helping us bring this mission to life in a way that is real, tangible, and impactful.
From Marion, Indiana to communities in states like Washington, Arizona, Illinois, California, Florida, and beyond…
these first 100 flags are only the beginning.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Shelly Brown, Martin Bragg, and the entire Collins Flags team for believing in what we’re doing and helping us preserve the honor of Old Glory across America.
